Hotel
Martelli Florence is located on Via Panzani, the main
road leading from Santa Maria Novella to the awesome
Duomo di Firenze. Check our interactive map of Florence
below for a bird’s-eye view. Within a few minutes’
walk to the left as you exit our historical Florence
3 Star accommodation you’ll come upon Piazza del
Duomo – the epicentre of the city.
The Duomo was built towards the end of the 15th century
by master architect Filippo Brunelleschi and is distinguished
by its colossal orange coloured dome, which dominates
the Florence skyline and symbolises the city.
Immediately south of Piazza del Duomo is the cluster
of narrow lanes that constitute the beating heart of
downtown Firenze, lined with boutiques, typical Tuscan
restaurants and excessively priced hotels; all leading
to Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio –
the seat of political power in the old Florentine Republic.
Moments later we reach the world famous Uffizi Gallery
and the River Arno, spanned by the legendary Ponte Vecchio.

How to get here : The Hotel Martelli
is located on Via Panzani, number 8.
We are exceedingly easy to reach, as this street is
the main road leading from Santa Maria Novella Railway
Station – the public transport epicentre and central
Train Station – into Piazza del Duomo and the
heart of the city.
If arriving by air to Florence International Airport
(Amerigo Vespucci), which is only about 5 km (3.5 miles)
outside of the city centre, a taxi directly to the hotel
should cost well under €20. Alternatively, take
one of the regular public transport shuttles into the
aforementioned Santa Maria Novella Station and walk
from there. The walk shouldn’t take more than
about 5 minutes even with luggage. Use the map above
to help you. The Station is located on Piazza Santa
Maria Novella, just a few hundred metres west of the
Hotel Martelli. |
